Sydney Ceramics Market is back for 2023 in the city’s iconic Carriageworks venue this weekend.
The one-day market is the perfect place to meet and shop pieces by local ceramicists, potters, artists, and makers from across Sydney and New South Wales.
More than 90 creatives will be presenting their unique clay-based works, ranging from tableware, vessels, and sculptural art pieces.
This year’s market is set to feature a special line-up of emerging talent — including some ceramicists whose work is not sold online yet — and independent artists with decades of experience.
Browse the stalls to buy a beautifully handcrafted piece direct from makers like Milly Dent, Public Holiday, Gabby Malpas, Sooty Welsh, and Voluptuary Ceramics.
If you’re looking to get into making yourself, there’ll also be wheel-throwing demonstrations, a speaker event, and a curated exhibition area.
Having successfully launched last year by founders Emi Ceramics’ Melody Brunton and photographer Samee Lapham, the market is supported by Australian Design Centre as a headline event in the Sydney Craft Week festival.
Entry is $5 and Carriageworks will also host its weekly Farmers Market, so you can do a full day of shopping for produce, fresh flowers, wine, and ceramics all in one place!
Sydney Ceramics Market is on from 10am until 5pm on Saturday October 7. Find out more here.
